Vintage inky black ostrich feathers glamour cape on inky black satin! Very 1930s style. Ties in the front with a silk chiffon bow. Fully lined in satin. Made by “The Ann Lawrence Collection - Santa Fe, NM.” Ann Lawrence was an entrepreneur, a designer, a bon vivant. She was integral in founding Santa Fe’s International Folk Art Market, and she traveled the world collecting stunning, authentic textiles. She was a close friend of Ralph Lauren. Many of her pieces are one of a kind and made up of beautiful vintage textiles, such as the case with this cape. The feathers are lush, full, and definitely vintage. This piece looks very authentic 1930s, I’m thinking maybe she just put her label on the inside. In amazing condition, one size fits all. I love how the feathers come up around your neck as well, so glamorous. The movement on ostrich feathers is simply magical. The perfect finishing touch to any ensemble.
